Bio
Mark LoDuca Sr. Bio
Mark LoDuca has been performing professionally since the age of 13, developing a lifelong passion for jazz, blues, and groove-driven music. A pianist and Hammond organist, he is known for his expressive playing, versatility, and ability to connect with audiences in any setting.
Based in the Detroit area, Mark is part of a rich musical tradition long recognized for producing some of the most respected jazz and blues musicians in the country.
Since 1996, he has focused primarily on jazz and blues, performing regularly in clubs and venues throughout the region. In addition to leading his own group, Mark has worked with a wide range of notable artists, including Bobby Murray (Etta James), Chicago Pete, Thornetta Davis, and nationally recognized blues artist Eliza Neals.
Mark can be heard on over 150 recordings as a studio musician. His 2015 release Conflictionology earned nominations for Best Jazz Album, Outstanding Jazz Composer, and Best Jazz Musician at the Detroit Music Awards.
He currently leads The C Notes Trio/Quartet, "delivering performances that range from sophisticated dinner jazz to high-energy club and concert experiences."
